The company was founded by Helmut Koenig, the son of a traditional baker family from Styria, Austria. Still during his studies, he founded the company “Maschinenfabrik Dipl.-Ing. Helmut Koenig” as one-man operation in 1966. Koenig’s motto since its founding has been:
“Our products stand at the service of the bakers.”

The company’s goal is to simplify the production of baked goods and heighten their quality – while maintaining the artisanal character of clients’ products.

Today the Koenig group engages around 800 employees. The company has production facilities in Austria, Hungary, Italy and Germany as well as sales subsidiaries in Germany, the USA, Russia, Italy and the Netherlands.

The product range today covers the entire production chain of baking technology:
