Smart ticketing and modern access control for leisure activities

Providing comfortable, innovative, individual and future-oriented solutions for ticketing and access control was the company‘s vision right from the start. This is still the same today as it was 21 years ago and is being implemented day by day by more than 300 employees.

The world of Axess is impressive: 2.5 billion transactions are handled annually via Axess systems, more than 200 million RFID smart cards e.g. admission tickets or ski passes, are in use worldwide. Every year around 50 new customers are added, such as ski resorts, football stadia, exhibition centers, theme parks or sightseeing and tourist attractions or touristic transport. On average one new subsidiary is founded every year.
As a leading international provider of complete solutions for ticketing and access control, Axess AG provides its customers with innovative, tailor-made systems. The focus is on security and control, but also on comfort and uncomplicated handling for guests and operators alike. Twenty-one years ago, it was the supreme effort to replace the magnetic card on the ski-zip with forward-looking RFID tickets, which provide access without touching anything – as if by magic. Nowadays the solutions are becoming ever more intelligent to make life for operators and their guests more comfortable. Today, the system which is currently state-of-the-art, is called Axess RESORT SOLUTIONS and enables complete processing based on a modular structure – according to the respective requirements and needs. From online purchase / booking through the simple issue of RFID cards at ticket vending machines such as the Axess PICK UP BOX 600 or the new Axess TICKET KIOSK 600 to the control of access authorizations and additional services and offers. The development is progressing steadily. 300 employees in 16 subsidiaries and headquarters are working to implement and develop the company‘s philosophy of the first hour. The Axess headquarters is located in Anif, while the production of all hardware products as well as the RFID cards takes place in the own factory in Innsbruck. „Last year, we produced 23 million chip cards in Innsbruck and exported them to China. It‘s like selling rice to China,“says Oliver Suter, Sales Director and member of the board. Christian Windhager, the second member of the board and responsible for the technological development, already has new products on his radar which will guarantee even more potential for projects and sales growth in the future. The motivation of the employees and the team-oriented work are further guarantors that the company will constantly increase its success in the future.
