The Leier group of companies is a family business comprising more than 40 production facilities in seven countries of Central- and Eastern Europe (Austria, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Croatia, Ukraine).

Moreover, Leier is among the leading suppliers of all kind of construction materials in this region. The company was originally founded in 1965 by Michael Leier with the opening of a Spar grocery store in Horitschon (Burgenland). Soon, the entrepreneur started his expansion, first to the field of producing construction materials, then he started his first subsidiary abroad (1983) in Hungary.

Today the Leier company group employs almost 3.000 people. Together with the founder Michael Leier, 3 generations jointly manage the operations of the enterprise. Besides the big number of production facilities in the concrete- as well as the ceramic brick industry, Leier is focusing on real estate, car dealership and –service (BMW, Mini, Hyundai, Skoda), mechanical engineering and recently an exclusive fitness centre.
