The JKU – A Vibrant Environment to Study and Work
The Johannes Kepler University Linz is on the move.

Over 21,000 students are enrolled in one of 60 academic degree programs offered at one of Austria’s most attractive and dynamic campuses.
The new Linz Institute of Technology (LIT) pools the JKU’s engineering expertise. Research here focuses on innovative topics of the future, including digitization, artificial intelligence, and big data. Together with the LIT Factory, the LIT Open Innovation Center conducts hands-on research to test and implement programs and projects that have real-world applications.
The School of Education offers an interdisciplinary, modern program designed to educate teachers of tomorrow. And since the Fall of 2014, the JKU offers a first-of-its-kind program in Human Medicine as part of a Bachelor’s/Master’s system.

  • The JKU is Upper Austria’s largest institution of education and research and over 21,000 students and 2,700 employees foster a sense of community in a lively campus setting.
  • 60 majors and 110 institutes are on the cutting edge of research and education, driving economic and social advancement beyond Upper Austria’s borders
