The Vienna University of Economics and Business is an international university that is aware of its responsibility towards research, teaching and society as a whole and therefore acts conscientiously in all matters.

It prepares students in the best possible way for their responsible tasks in business and society. In doing so, the students acquire the scientifically founded competence to contribute to overcoming economic, social, legal and ecological challenges – through sustainable expertise and responsible economic action. The Vienna University of Economics and Business is an international university, an important hub for worldwide exchange in research and teaching and is a role model for sustainability and responsibility. One contribution to this, for example, is the fact it has become the first climate-netural university in Austria. When it was founded in 1898, it was already characterised by open-mindedness and diversity. It is successfully represented in various rankings and is proud to have achieved its triple accreditation, consisting of the most important international seals of approval for business universities EQUIS, AACSB and AMBA: Only 1% of the world’s higher education institutions that carry these.
